During his show, Craig Singleton sings lead vocals and plays his state of the art Yamaha Genos keyboard (A $6000 Keyboard). All his sound is generated in real time by the keyboard and his vocals. No "Audio Backing Tracks", like other musicians that are really only Karaoke singers with a phone or laptop. 

Craig plays his Genos Keyboard and can at any time instantly select a Grand Piano for a Billy Joel song for instance. If it's Craig's One Man Show Band, there will be no actual Guitar Player on stage, so Craig might instantly  switch his keyboard so he is now [ playing an electric guitar for a ZZ Top song! Cool right! And it sounds amazing!

In fact, you don't know what will show up at your event, unless you see and hear actual live performances. And we sound much better live than many of the recordings on this web site. Why? Because much of the audio you hear in the demo was recorded by a camera mic. And often they are not very good at capturing high quality audio. You see, any Band can hire a video crew and use a computer in the studio to make themselves sound or look good on a slick video that they lip sync'd,  Or maybe they didn't even sing or perform on their video.  Unfortunately, it's happening more and more often! Don't buy into the hype of a slick video.  Too many people tell me horror stories about a band they hired because their video looked great. But when they showed up, the band did not look or sound anything like the video they had promoted! So what do you do to avoid that catastrophe?

 My recommendation is to look for a band that provides you with audio and video of many live performances of them at different venues with a live audience. That's the only way you can see for yourself what they really look and sound like while performing, and what the audience thinks of their performance. 

And look for their client reviews! If they don't have client reviews, they probably don't have clients, or they don't have clients that want to give them a good review! 

  Don't take that chance of hiring a slick video when you need a great live band with years of professional experience. Because if you do, you never really know what will show up at your event! You have no idea what that band actually sounds or looks like in real life. They may require auto tune computer programs just to sing in tune while performing live or use AI. It's pathetic and deceitful! 

They even sometimes hire pro singers, like myself to do their demos for them so you think they can actually sing! Just for the record, I will continue to refuse to fraud people by singing on other people's demos, no matter how much they offer to pay me. 

 Don't fall for that slick video. You may be very disappointed when you actually see what shows up at your event! 

Have you you ever wondered why so many bands keep getting louder as the show goes on? There are two basic reasons.

1. Because they can't hear themselves. That's right. It seems illogical, but it's true. One guy turns himself up to better hear what he's playing, so the next guy does the same thing, and on and on it goes! It's a nightmare for the audience and damages every one's hearing!

2. . Because they use guitar amplifiers and speaker monitors on stage. When they do this they create multiple sound sources. These multiple sound sources create all kinds of problems with the sound the audience hears, such as feedback, delayed or echoed sound, distortion, competing or cancelling frequencies, and blistering LOUD volumes!

The CRAIG SINGLETON BAND does not have any of those problems! Here's how we do it. All the musicians in the CRAIG SINGLETON BAND use in-ear monitors on stage. That means all the musicians can hear themselves properly as they perform, so there is no need for guitar amplifiers or musician's speaker monitors on stage. Instead, we create a single sound source by sending all the musicians instruments and vocals into our high end digital mixer and out into our state of the art PA system! This eliminates the multiple sound sources and the problems they create. The audience hears the band from one source, our state of the art PA System, made in Italy and Japan by RCF and QSC!

Finally, the master volume of the band, which is going to our two main speakers and subwoofer is controlled by Craig Singleton, (or his sound engineer in some larger venues). This means the CRAIG SINGLETON BAND is NEVER TOO LOUD! Instead, you get our studio quality sound and appropriate volume levels, perfect for any venue or event!
